Marianne Delaney-Hoshek might have been the calmest person in the stadium as the Mainland Tactix snapped a 400-day losing run.

The Tactix coach wasn't biting her fingernails or experiencing any heart palpitations in the final minutes as the Tactix beat the Northern Stars 46-43 in Manukau on Sunday afternoon. It was the Tactix first win in the national netball premiership, having started 0-11, and ended a 19-game losing streak dating back to May 1 last year in the former trans-Tasman league.
