The Northern Mystics have all but made sure of a spot in the ANZ Premiership play offs with a tight 59-58 win over Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic at Trusts Arena on a Monday night.
With so much at stake for both teams, it was a game played in high intensity. Every pass was challenged and there was plenty of physicality. It was the type of match organisers were hoping for in setting up the new domestic competition and there was no finer advertisement for it than this.
