A tense 55-53 victory over the Central Pulse on Monday night - just the Mystics' second of the season - is nothing to get excited about. For large periods this was a dance of the desperate for both teams.
The speed, fluidity and flow that we expect from the Mystics were sighted more than in any other game this season. But there were still far too many wayward passes and unforced errors to view them as genuine contenders.
